Lisa the Lonely Ballerina

Debbie comic made its first appearance in issue number 1 dated  17th February 1973 and included a ‘Special Free Gift for Trendy Girls’, a lovely cameo beauty brooch.

Stories in the comic included The Circus Slave, The Dark Days of Dorcas, Debbie Dean: The Little Beauty Queen, Jane Green’s Schooldays, Lisa the Lonely Ballerina, Marsalla of the Mists, Mary Brown’s Schooldays, The Randell Road Girls, The Rival O’Rileys, Supercats, Superstitious Cindy, Trixie’s Treasure Chest and We’ll Show Those Boys!

During its nearly ten year run, Debbie comic had two mergers. In issue number 258, dated January 21st 1978, it merged with Spellbound to become Debbie and Spellbound. Debbie comic finally came to an end in issue number 518 dated 15th January 1983. The following week it joined as the junior partner to Mandy as Mandy and Debbie comic.
