Limp Along Leslie
‘Buddy’ comic issue number one appeared on 14th February 1981 and included a free gift of a ‘Pop Pistol with Two Free Bullets’. Stories in the first issue were ‘Limp Along Leslie’, ‘The Wolf of Kabul’, ‘Deep Sea Danny’s Iron Fish’, ‘Tuffy – A Boy All Alone’, ‘Hammer’, ‘Jonah – The Biggest Jinx on the seven Seas’, ‘Billy the Cat’ and ‘Boy on the Run’.
‘Buddy’ comic was mostly reprint material from DC Thomson’s extensive comic archives as well as some reworking of old characters.

‘Buddy’ ran for 130 issues until its merger with ‘Victor’ comic on 13th August 1983.
