Princess was a girls’ comic that ran from 1960 intil 1967. Stories in the comic included ‘Alona the Wild One’, ‘Amber Ridd – Daughter of Lorna Doone’, ‘Candy and Mandy’, ‘Castle in the Mist’, ‘Chocky’, ‘Circus Ballerina’, ‘Daughters of Adventure’, ‘Nurse Angela’, ‘Run Kristina Run’, ‘Tess of the Texas Moon’, ‘The Happy Days’ and ‘The Scarlet Pimpernel’.

During its run (399 Issues), it incorporated Girl comic becoming ‘The New Princess and Girl’ in the issue dated 10th October 1964. The title continued until 2nd January 1965 when it reverted to simply ‘Princess’ comic gain. Another adjustment to the title’s name was made between the 16th October 1965 and the 29th October 1966 when it became ‘Princess Magazine’ before once again reverting back to ‘Princess’ again. It remained ‘Princess’ until its final merger with ‘Tina’ comic on 23rd September 1967. The new comic being ‘Princess Tina’.
