‘The Moonsters’ by Bill Ritchie was the story of Penny and Peter Pleasant who were visiting a space travel show when Peter’s sticky fingers led to a space ship taking off with Peter and Penny inside. The back page of Issue two of saw Peter and Penny land on the moon where they met ‘The Moonsters’ who cried “Gosh, look at those funny Earth folk”. The popularity of the strip soon led to ‘The Moonsters’ becoming front page stars.
