The 8 paged tabloid sized Chuckles comic appeared in early January 1914. Contributors to the first issue were Tom Wilkinson, H. O’Neil and W. Radford. Chuckles became a nursery comic in 1919 before merging with Jungle Jinks comic in 1923.
