Misty issue number one appeared on 4th February 1978 and included a free gift of a ‘ Free Lucky Charm Bracelet’. Stories in the first issue were The Cult of the Cat, The Sentinels, Paint it Black, Moodstone, Nightmare Roots, Moonchild and Red knee-White Terror! Misty was a girl’s horror comic which seems to have been launched to compete with DC Thomson’s Spellbound which had unfortunately been merged into Debbie just weeks before Misty’s launch.
